Ingredients

  • 350 g of wafer cookies

  • For the cream:
  • 500 ml of milk (2 cups)

  • 120 ml of heavy cream (1/2 cup)

  • 50 g of sugar (1/4 cup)

  • 40 g of cornstarch (3 tablespoons)

  • 40 g of unsweetened cocoa powder (3 tablespoons)

Instructions:

  • Line a cake pan with plastic wrap. Place 350 g of wafer cookies evenly on the bottom of the pan.
  • In a pot, combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa powder. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a smooth cream.
  • Pour the hot cream over the wafer cookies in the pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Let the cake cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
